Kings Hill Tax Rate Surges in New Year

The 2018 Kent Budget was announced this morning which has seen Kings Hill incur the largest of Tax rates across the county.

"It's not fair, my friend lives in Snodland and she got her boiler fixed for £50 and a cup of Yorkshire Tea, whilst I was quoted £50 just to visit the boiler, and another £180 incl KHT to fix it!" Said one confused Kings HIllian.

The rest of the UK and most parts of Kent only apply Value Added Tax which goes to the government. Otherwise known as VAT. However some parts of Kent apply their own additional Tax Levies as it emerged today, to cater for each living standard of the clientele. 

Kings Hill is a thriving development, full of nice people, business owners, senior management and dedicated house wives. It's the sort of place where phrases such as 'Mans not Hot', 'Leg it!', or 'Butlins' receive confused looks.

One local councillor that's not a councillor, Rod, refused to admit to the Taxing scheme of KHT. 

"Stop it! Just stop it. I'm not having anyone discuss KHT anymore, it's bloody ridiculous!"

Kings Hill - 330%

West Malling - 200%

Canterbury - 150%

Offham - 150%

East Malling - 10%

Snodland - 0%

Gravesend - Minus 10%.

One local resident, Mr Noel Itall, has already been wise to KHT and utilised a loop hole over the past few years since it was initially introduced. 

"I shouldn't really be sharing this as I don't want to undo the loop hole for myself but, what I tend to do is ask for quotes giving a Snodland address. It's only up the road and on the day of the tradesmen arriving or product being delivered, I do a quick change of address and Roberts your fathers brother!"

Watch out Tradesmen, the people of Kent are on to you!
