Liberty Considered Chinese Road Workers

Today, Liberty & the Parish Council for Kings Hill announced new dates for the Tower View road closure as the 30th April to the end of May.

4 weeks of hell. 4 weeks of complete two-way road closure diverting the entire Kings Hill residential traffic through Kings Hill Avenue and Discovery Drive.

Why?

"A Zebra fucking crossing!" I shit you not.

One local resident wrote to Liberty to complain, asking why it take's 4 weeks to paint black a 3m wide section of the road black and white.

"The Chinese built an entire new train station in just 9 hours! 9 FUCKING HOURS!!!" said Mrs Ann Gry from Dawn Lane. "Yet our workers need 4 weeks, to paint black and white lines. Fuck me." she continued.

A spokesperson for Liberty who didn't want to be named did confirm that the idea was entertained, to put the job out for tender to the Chinese. After tallying up the 1500 workers flight and accommodation costs, it worked out roughly the same but there was some heavy criticism from the usual supplier.

"They come over here, take our jobs, I'm not aving it!" Said Dave from Dagenham & Redbridge Tarmac Ltd.

"The job simply can't be done in less than 4 weeks. We need to discuss it on site which usually takes 3 days, then order the cones and proper fencing which then needs a week to arrive. Then we need to assess the situation again with a few large cuppa teas in hand, before finally agreeing on which black mix of paint to use and in the last 2 days we'll get it done" Said Dave.

Alas, Liberty agreed to book the job with D&R Tarmac Ltd.

We called the local Parish offices today to speak to the voice of the people, who was unfortunately unavailable for comment.
